‘Call Me By Your Name’ Wallpaper

During my final year at university, I developed a strong focus on wallpaper design, culminating in a bespoke wallpaper inspired by Call Me By Your Name (2017), directed by Luca Guadagnino.  As part of my Graphic Arts Research Project, I explored the role of wallpaper in film - how it’s often used to subtly support the narrative. This research helped me to flip the concept: rather than letting wallpaper support the story, I wanted to help tell it.

The result was a hand-printed roll of wallpaper that communicates mood, setting, and emotion through visual storytelling. The final piece was created using traditional silkscreen printing technques on white vinyl wallpaper, bringing a tactile and immersive quality to the design.
